About the program
The ANCHORED Experience
ANCHORED is a selective internship program created by AnchorzUp for Albanian students and recent graduates from the Diaspora who want to gain meaningful professional experience while reconnecting with Kosovo. The program was designed around a simple idea: many young Albanians growing up abroad feel a strong connection to Kosovo and often want to contribute, explore opportunities, or better understand where they come from, but they rarely have structured ways to do so professionally.
This program offers participants the opportunity to become part of the AnchorzUp team and work on real projects alongside professionals across multiple areas. Rather than experiencing Kosovo only through summer visits and social gatherings, participants will have the opportunity to build genuine professional and personal connections while contributing to meaningful work.
ANCHORED combines professional development, mentorship, innovation, and community engagement into one experience. The goal is not only to help participants grow professionally, but also to help them feel more connected to Kosovo, its people, and its future.
Who Can Apply
The program is open to Albanian students, recent graduates, and early-career professionals from the diaspora. Applicants are welcome from countries including Switzerland, Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, Nordic countries, and other Albanian diaspora communities around the world.
Participants are not required to speak Albanian fluently. However, command of English language is mandatory.
The professional working environment will primarily operate in English, while social and cultural activities may take place in both English and Albanian. What matters most is curiosity, initiative, openness to collaboration, and an interest in reconnecting with Kosovo through meaningful experience.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE
Internship Structure & Experience
The internship is based in Prishtina and combines in-office collaboration with remote work flexibility. Participants will work closely with the AnchorzUp team while also having the opportunity to explore the city, meet professionals, and experience Kosovo beyond tourism.
The program offers flexible internship durations ranging from 8 weeks up to 6 months, depending on the participant’s availability and area of engagement. Each cohort will include only 3 participants in order to ensure a more personalized experience, close mentorship, and stronger integration into the team and company culture.
All participants will receive a monthly stipend of 500 EUR for the duration of the internship.

Interns will be integrated into ongoing projects and day-to-day work within the company. This approach is intended to provide practical experience, exposure to international client work, and a better understanding of how growing teams and digital businesses operate.
Each participant will receive individual mentorship throughout the program and will work closely with team leads. The program will also include founder sessions, guest lectures and open conversations with the team at AnchorzUp, offering participants insight into entrepreneurship, company building, leadership, and the broader technology and innovation landscape in Kosovo.
Beyond the internship
Where Professional Growth Meets Cultural Connection
Beyond technical and professional learning, the program is designed to encourage collaboration and long-term relationship building between diaspora youth and professionals in Kosovo.
Alongside their professional work, participants will take part in cultural activities, volunteer initiatives, networking events, innovation discussions, and community gatherings.
The purpose of these experiences is to help participants see Kosovo through a different lens, not only as a place to visit during the summer, but as a place filled with talent, ideas, opportunity, and people who are actively building for the future.Participants who complete the program will become part of the ANCHORED alumni and ambassador community. Depending on performance and future opportunities, participants may continue engaging with AnchorzUp through future internships, employment opportunities, collaborations, or mentorship initiatives.
The long-term vision of the program is to strengthen the connection between Kosovo and the next generation of Albanians growing up abroad by creating opportunities for collaboration, contribution, and belonging.
