Junior Quality Assurance Specialist

Position Closed

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Junior Quality Assurance Specialist to support our development teams in delivering high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience—or strong academic exposure—in both manual and automated testing, a keen eye for detail, and the drive to learn new tools and techniques in a fast-paced agile environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct manual and automated tests to ensure software functionality and performance.
  • Identify, document, and report defects using tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
  • Collaborate with developers to create comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Perform regression and integration testing after each release or update.
  • Document and share testing results, metrics, and findings with the team.
  • Assist developers in reproducing, debugging, and resolving reported issues.
  • Maintain and update test documentation, checklists, and test data.
  • Learn and adopt new QA tools, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Participate in sprint planning and review sessions to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Validate software readiness for deployment by executing pre-release testing.
  • Learn and implement new technologies and programming languages to enhance test coverage.
  • Recreate buggy scenarios that clients may encounter in production.
  • Investigate and reproduce hard-to-find issues reported by clients or uncovered in data, using creative problem-solving to identify root causes.
  • Execute and manage testing checklists regularly (e.g., during major software updates) to ensure ongoing system stability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Hands-on experience in software quality assurance or a technical internship/project.
  • Basic understanding of manual and automated testing methodologies and lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with bug-tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) and test management tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional agile teams and proactively seek clarification.
